The Little Hours

The Little Hours

R-rated

This is a shocking movie that is closer to pornography than a feature film. It has everything: ribald humor, sex, and sodomy. This is an Indie film that will probably turn off more people than it turns on. You only want to see this film with someone you are having sex with because it is very risqué and it is definitely not for kids or teens.

A young servant fleeing from his master takes refuge at a convent full of emotionally unstable nuns in the Middle Ages. Introduced as a deaf blind man, he must fight to hold his cover as the nuns try to resist temptation.

Alison Brie is Alessanda. Dave Franco plays Massetto. Kate Micucci is Fernanda. Academy Award Nominee John C. Reilly is Father Tommasso and Molly Shannon of SNL fame is Sister Marea.

Dave Franco is gorgeous as a deaf mute. He doesn’t have to say a word.

“The Little Hours” was written and directed by Jeff Baena.

I found parts of this very funny and other parts somewhat embarrassing but not as embarrassing as the group of women I saw the movie with. They all hated the film because of the graphic sexuality.

This film is showing at the Tivoli in U City. Don’t cross the river to see this film. If you like this type of movie, wait and see it in your own home.
