JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 3

By Mary Cox

R rated

People who loved “John Wick” and “John Wick: Chapter 2” will probably love this film. If you haven’t seen the first two films you will be lost in this film because it doesn’t stand alone.

Super Assassin John Wick, (Keanu Reeves) is being hunted by hit men and women all over the world and has been on the run because he broke the rules of the high table, the international assassin’s guild and killed another member in “John Wick: Chapter 2.”

Poor John is shot at, run over, in knife fights and other types of fights and still gets up and manages to kill hundreds of people.

There is no story in “John Wick: Chapter 3,” the writers Derek Kolstad & Shay Halten and Chris Collins & Marc Adams gave up story for special effects. The stunt men deserve to be recognized because their stunts were dangerous and the entire focus of this silly film.

An award winning cast is lost on this miserable piece of cinema. Academy Award winner plays Sofia. Academy Award winner Anjelica Huston has a small role as the Director. Academy Award nominee Laurence Fishburne is the Bowery King. Ian McShane is Winston. Asia Kate Dillon is chilling as the Adjudicator and Lance Reddick is Charon.

“John Wick: Chapter 3” is directed by Chad Stahelski.

If you wonder why we have so many young men think going out and killing is cool, just sit through this film and you will get it. I only give this one star and that is because of the stunt folks; they deserve a star.
